Profile
"Raising awareness about the different lifestyles that exist in our world today, through education, community affairs, and social involvement!" This is our mission statement... and we mean it too! CUH GSA started in January 2007 and has been going strong ever since. We are making three years pretty soon! We try to spread the word about CUH GSA and other GSAs on the island. We tell them who we are and what is the purpose of the club. We do this through community service, flyers, and word of mouth. We hold an event at the end of every school year called "The Night of Kings & Queens!" We collaborate with all the other GSAs in Oahu to put on a show for all of you. It is a great experience and lots of fun. So keep your eyes open because information about The Night of Kings & Queens are coming soon! CUH GSA supports the LGBTQI community so there will be some news that doesn't pertain to CUH nor the other GSAs. Enjoy!

NICOLE PAIGE BROOKS

As you may or may not know, RuPaul's Drag Race Season 2 has kicked off better than ever. The challenges are harder and the girls are "fishy." You can't get any better than that. So far, my faves are still in the show so I hope they make it all the way. This week's episode, the girls were split into 2 groups and had to perform a "pussycat doll" like show and the group who collects the most money wins the challenge. The girls also had to do a solo act. The girl from the winning team that brought in the most money won immunity for the next challenge. The girls also had to sell cherry pie gift certificates. After deliberations, Sahara Davenport won the challenge and immunity for the next challenge. Nicole Paige Brooks and Raven had to lip sync for their lives. After performing En Vogue's Never Gonna Get It, Nicole Paige Brooks was asked to sashay away.

SHANGELA

The first episode of RuPaul's Drag Race started with a Gone With The Wind challenge. The girls had to pose with a cannon and hard blowing fans to get a perfect shot. The girls also had to create a drag outfit using the curtains and home furnishings given. Amateur Shangela Laquifa Wadley had trouble sewing the outfit and landed her in the bottom two with Sahara Davenport, who was not "draggy" enough. The two lip synced for their lives and Shangela was asked to sashay away. The next challenge is to create commercial for Disco Chicken. The girls must work in two groups again. I can't wait for this episode. It showcases Jessica Wild. Ooooo!
