ALEXANDER McQUEEN
It is a very sad day in the world of fashion. Top designer Alexander McQueen committed suicide this morning. He was found dead in his London mansion. He passed away days before the all exclusive London Fashion Week. McQueen was supposed to showcase his new line and in March, launch his ready-to-wear line for the public in March. He died a little over a week his mother passed away. Let us all be fierce in the name of Alexander McQueen fashion.

NICOLE PAIGE BROOKS
As you may or may not know, RuPaul's Drag Race Season 2 has kicked off better than ever. The challenges are harder and the girls are "fishy." You can't get any better than that. So far, my faves are still in the show so I hope they make it all the way. This week's episode, the girls were split into 2 groups and had to perform a "pussycat doll" like show and the group who collects the most money wins the challenge. The girls also had to do a solo act. The girl from the winning team that brought in the most money won immunity for the next challenge. The girls also had to sell cherry pie gift certificates. After deliberations, Sahara Davenport won the challenge and immunity for the next challenge. Nicole Paige Brooks and Raven had to lip sync for their lives. After performing En Vogue's Never Gonna Get It, Nicole Paige Brooks was asked to sashay away.

SHANGELA
The first episode of RuPaul's Drag Race started with a Gone With The Wind challenge. The girls had to pose with a cannon and hard blowing fans to get a perfect shot. The girls also had to create a drag outfit using the curtains and home furnishings given. Amateur Shangela Laquifa Wadley had trouble sewing the outfit and landed her in the bottom two with Sahara Davenport, who was not "draggy" enough. The two lip synced for their lives and Shangela was asked to sashay away. The next challenge is to create commercial for Disco Chicken. The girls must work in two groups again. I can't wait for this episode. It showcases Jessica Wild. Ooooo!

HAWAII CIVIL UNIONS BILL DEMOLISHED
Hawaii lawmakers declined to vote Friday on a bill that would have allowed same-sex civil unions, effectively doing away with the measure. State House leaders said a narrow majority of representatives would have voted for civil unions, but they decided to indefinitely postpone a decision on whether to grant gay and lesbian couples the same rights and benefits the state provides to married couples. Civil union supporters in the crowded House gallery on Friday shouted, "Shame on you!" while opponents cheered.
"It's an election year, and they're more concerned about keeping their seats than doing what's right," said Stephen Nagle of Ka'awa, wearing a rainbow lei in support of civil unions.

JASON MOMOA
Hawaii native Jason Momoa is trying out to become the new Conan The Barbarian remake. He is trying to become Arnold Schwarzenegger's successor in the new remake. The only thing, I should say things, standing in the way are two other hotties, I mean, actors. Twilight's Kellan Lutz (Emmett) and Supernatural's Jared Padalecki. You may notice Jason Momoa from Baywatch Hawai. Mmmm... any one of those men can certainly get the part and it helps that each of them look dericious in a loin cloth. Let the battle begin!

In March 2009, Andre Charles produced a TV show in which 9 divas would battle it out to become on top. The show became such a success that LOGO decided to give Andre another season. It is great to see the LGBTQ in the lime light again. It was such a "trend" in 2004 - 2006. It is coming back into full speed ahead.
RuPaul has found 12 more divas, better than last season fish-wise, to battle it out every week until the Top Drag Queen is found! RuPaul's Drag Race is at the starting line February 2010. For a sneak peak of what is to come on the season, log on to RuPaulsdragrace.com. Don't forget to check out the contestant profiles. They are pretty fierce. My money goes to Morgan McMichaels, Sahara Davenport, and Tatianna. You Better Watch!
